At our manufacturing campus in Kinsale, Lilly employs around 800 people, making medicine using both chemical synthesis & biotechnology manufacturing processes. Lilly Kinsale makes medicines for the treatment of illnesses across a range of therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology and diabetes. In 2019, the Lilly Kinsale continuous drug substance manufacturing facility was selected as the global category winner for “Process Innovation”, in the prestigious International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers “Facility of the Year” awards. The company is also investing in a significant expansion to the biotechnology capacity at the site, which is targeted for completion in 2021.

Our global business solutions centre in Little Island, Co. Cork employs around 750 people; with 44 languages spoken across the 38 nationalities that are represented in the employee population. The centre provides business services in areas such as finance, customer meeting services, medical information, clinical trial capabilities and more. In 2019, the centre significantly expanded its operations with the opening of a new office block that doubled the size of its previous footprint and which will facilitate its continued growth in new and innovative service areas in the future.
